Not a bad price, but the guard felt like a hockey puck in my mouth, it was so huge and clunky. And I bought the smallest size! Plus it fell out of my mouth every night (and I never knew when) so it didn't seem worth keeping when it didn't even stay put.I came across this guard and decided to try it because the reviews were so good. I have to say I am extremely pleased with not only the price, but the customer service was good (very good communication and fast shipping) and most importantly, the guard is SMALL but still does the job and stays put all night. I've gone through this process to make mouthguards with my children for martial arts sparring, so I had a general idea how it worked. But it was nice to have such precise instructions. It comes with two guards, which don't seem all that different at first glance, but the larger one is more massive -- when you boil them, they keep their shape in the pot, but they get very soft and kind of sticky. So when you bite down on them, they can almost completely change their shape. I tried this inexpensive guard and was able to use the smaller size which is effective even though it doesn't cover all the way to the back teeth. Still it is snug and effective in keeping my teeth apart and it is soft and comfortable. Try this and try the smaller size first. I thought it may be too small for me but I was wrong and the smaller size is definitely more comfortable. |
